Description
These BBQ ribs are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, making them perfect for any summer cookout or family gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 cups BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them tightly with another piece of foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and place them on the grill.
- Grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, basting with more BBQ sauce, until caramelized and slightly charred.
- Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
- Feel free to adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
- You can also use a slow cooker for a more hands-off approach; cook on low for 6-8 hours.
