  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

These BBQ ribs are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, making them perfect for any summer cookout or family gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them tightly with another piece of foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  8. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and place them on the grill.
  9. Grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, basting with more BBQ sauce, until caramelized and slightly charred.
  10. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight with the spice rub.
  • Feel free to adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
  • You can also use a slow cooker for a more hands-off approach; cook on low for 6-8 hours.
