Description
Tender, juicy BBQ ribs coated in a flavorful homemade sauce, perfect for any BBQ gathering or family dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
- Wrap each rack of ribs in aluminum foil, sealing tightly.
- Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
- Brush your favorite BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized and heated through.
- Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, consider adding wood chips to your grill.
- Adjust the spice level by modifying the amount of cayenne pepper.
- These ribs can also be cooked entirely in the oven if grilling is not an option.
