  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Tender, juicy BBQ ribs coated in a flavorful homemade sauce, perfect for any BBQ gathering or family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Wrap each rack of ribs in aluminum foil, sealing tightly.
  6. Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
  8. Brush your favorite BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.
  9. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Place the ribs on the grill and cook for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized and heated through.
  10. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, consider adding wood chips to your grill.
  • Adjust the spice level by modifying the amount of cayenne pepper.
  • These ribs can also be cooked entirely in the oven if grilling is not an option.
