- 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves, for serving
- Tomato slices, for serving
- Cheese slices (optional), for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Remove patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on a bun and topping with lettuce, tomato, and additional BBQ sauce if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the patties in BBQ sauce for an hour before grilling.
- Feel free to customize the toppings with pickles, onions, or your favorite burger sauces.
