Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese for toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, add cheese on top of each patty if desired and close the grill lid to melt.
  6. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a bun and adding your favorite toppings and additional BBQ sauce.
