- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 4 burger buns
- 4 cheese slices
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 sliced tomatoes
- to taste sliced pickles
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, BBQ sauce, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- In the last minute of grilling, top each patty with a slice of cheese and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun and topping with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and additional BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to customize your burger with additional toppings such as onions, bacon, or avocado.
- For a smoky flavor, consider adding some smoked paprika to the meat mixture.
