Deliciously crispy batata (sweet potato) fries made in the air fryer. A healthier alternative to traditional frying with all the flavor!


Ingredients

  • 2 medium Sweet potatoes (peeled and cut into fries)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (for tossing)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder (optional for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the cut sweet potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
  3. Place the seasoned sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  4. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
  5. Check for doneness; they should be golden brown and crispy. If not, continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
  • For extra crispiness, soak the sweet potato fries in water for 30 minutes before seasoning and air frying.
