Description
Crispy and delicious air fryer french fries that are easy to make and healthier than traditional frying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
- Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato sticks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Place the potato sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, soak the potatoes longer or use a mandoline for even cuts.
- Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your taste, adding herbs or spices as desired.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
