Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
  3. Set up a breading station: In one bowl, place flour; in a second bowl, beat the eggs; and in a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, shaking off excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, followed by coating in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Spray both sides of each breaded cutlet with cooking spray to ensure they crisp up.
  6. Place the cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; you may need to do this in batches.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
