Description
Crispy and juicy chicken cutlets made easily in the air fryer for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
- Set up a breading station: In one bowl, place flour; in a second bowl, beat the eggs; and in a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, shaking off excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, followed by coating in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Spray both sides of each breaded cutlet with cooking spray to ensure they crisp up.
- Place the cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; you may need to do this in batches.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite seasoning or buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasonings in the breadcrumb mixture to customize the taste.
