This festive berry trifle is the perfect dessert for Memorial Day celebrations, combining layers of cake, fresh berries, and whipped cream for a refreshing treat.

- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 pound blueberries
- 1 pound raspberries
- 1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a large trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom.
- Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the cake, followed by a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake, berries, and whipped cream.
- Top with additional berries and mint leaves for garnish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any combination of berries you like.
- For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for the whipped cream.
