  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A refreshing and fragrant twist on the classic lemonade, infused with lavender and fresh mint for a delightful summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, sugar, and dried lavender. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and let the lavender syrup steep for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the lavender flowers.
  4. Add the fresh lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  5. Add the fresh mint leaves and muddle gently with a wooden spoon to release their flavor.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Serve over ice with garnishes of fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.

Notes

  • For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender in the syrup longer.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
  • This drink can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
