  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Slice the onions into rings and separate them.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour buttermilk into another bowl.
  4. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  5. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  7. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.
