Description
Juicy and flavorful grilled burgers made from scratch, perfect for summer barbecues.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese for toppings
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, and close the grill lid to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try marinating the patties in your favorite BBQ sauce before grilling.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 160°F for medium.
- Feel free to customize your toppings with pickles, condiments, or any favorites.
