Description

Juicy and flavorful grilled burgers made from scratch, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese for toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  4. Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  6. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, and close the grill lid to melt.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  8. Assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try marinating the patties in your favorite BBQ sauce before grilling.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 160°F for medium.
  • Feel free to customize your toppings with pickles, condiments, or any favorites.
