Description
This Grilled Black Cod recipe features tender, flaky fish topped with a zesty lemon herb butter that enhances its rich flavor. Perfect for summer grilling!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 black cod fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, dill, chives, and minced garlic. Mix until well combined and set aside.
- Brush the black cod fillets with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last minute of grilling, spoon the lemon herb butter over the fillets to melt.
- Remove from the grill and serve immediately, garnished with additional herbs or lemon slices if desired.
Notes
- Make sure to oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- You can substitute black cod with another firm fish like salmon or halibut if desired.
- For added flavor, marinate the fish in olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for 30 minutes before grilling.
