Description

Delicious fish tacos topped with fresh ingredients and a zesty sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub this spice mixture onto the fish fillets.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flaky.
  3. While the fish is cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing the sour cream, lime juice, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Warm the corn tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
  5. Once the fish is cooked, break it into large pieces.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing some fish on each tortilla, then topping with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and avocado slices.
  7. Drizzle the sour cream sauce over the top and serve with lime wedges.
