Description

A traditional New England clam bake featuring fresh clams, lobster, corn, and potatoes, all cooked together for a flavorful and hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 dozen Fresh clams
  • 2 Lobsters
  • 1 pound Small potatoes
  • 4 ears Corn on the cob
  • 1 pound Seaweed (optional)
  • as needed Water
  • for serving Butter
  • for serving Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare a large pot or a clam bake setup with a steamer basket. If using seaweed, soak it in water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Fill the pot with water, add the seaweed if using, and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the potatoes to the pot and cook for about 15 minutes.
  4. Next, layer the corn on top of the potatoes and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Add the clams and lobsters to the pot, cover, and steam for about 10-15 minutes, or until the clams have opened and the lobsters are cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the clam bake with melted butter and lemon wedges.
