Description
Buffalo Wings are a classic American appetizer, known for their spicy and tangy flavor. These crispy chicken wings are coated in a buttery hot sauce and served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing. Perfect for game day or any casual gathering!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot recommended)
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Celery sticks, for serving
- Blue cheese dressing, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes, then remove from heat.
- Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the hot sauce over them. Toss until the wings are fully coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
- Feel free to adjust the heat of the sauce by adding more or less hot sauce.
- If you prefer fried wings, you can deep fry them in hot oil instead of baking.
